Armenian weightlifter Andranik Karapetyan changes citizenship

Armenian weightlifter Andranik Karapetyan, an Olympic medalist, has officially changed his citizenship and will now represent a different country in international competitions.

The Weightlifting Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina has confirmed that Karapetyan has been granted citizenship and is now eligible to compete under the Bosnian flag at international events.

This marks the latest departure from Armenia’s national weightlifting team. Gor Minasyan joined Bahrain’s national team two years ago.
