Lawyer insists on Pashinyan's impeachment

Lawyer Varazdat Harutyunyan has insisted on impeachment proceedings against Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan to stop his anti-church campaign.

"The only adequate response to Pashinyan’s campaign to oust the Catholicos would be to launch a real process to oust Pashinyan himself,” he wrote on Facebook on Tuesday.

The lawyer stated that all other actions would amount to erratic movements dictated by Pashinyan’s own agenda.

“At this point, impeachment is the only available option for a change of power. Whether it's a good or bad option, it's the only one on the table. If there's any other alternative, please let us know,” he added.
