Operations of concrete plant and crusher suspended in Yerevan due to environmental violations

The Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body (EPMIB) has suspended the operations of a concrete plant and gravel crusher belonging to Metta Group LLC in Yerevan.

During an inspection, authorities found that the company was operating without the required permit for emissions of harmful substances into the atmosphere from stationary sources.

As a result, the EPMIB’s Yerevan regional department ordered a halt to concrete production and gravel crushing activities. The company has been fined 300,000 drams and presented with a claim to compensate for environmental damage.
