Armenian player triumphs at international chess tournament in Serbia

Armenian Chess Academy student Vache Hovakimyan has claimed a dominant victory at the RUDAR XL – IM Round Robin international chess tournament held in Serbia.

Vache delivered an outstanding performance, scoring 7 out of 9 points without a single loss and emerging as the sole winner, the Chess Academy reported on Wednesday.

The remarkable achievement also earned him his first International Master (IM) norm and significantly boosted his FIDE rating.

The academy expressed gratitude to his coach, GM Tigran Harutyunyan, for his invaluable guidance and commitment.
