Armenian shooters win 17 medals at European Running Target Championships

The Armenian national shooting team has delivered an outstanding performance at the European Running Target Championships held in Châteauroux, France, securing a total of 17 medals, including 6 gold, 7 silver and 4 bronze.

In the senior category, Gor Khachatryan (10m) and Hovhannes Margaryan (50m) were crowned European champions. Silver medals went to Hayk Minasyan and Gohar Harutyunyan, while Arusyak Grigoryan, Lilit Mkrtchyan and the duo of Hovhannes Margaryan and Arusyak Grigoryan earned bronze, the Armenian Shooting Federation reported on Thursday.

Team Armenia dominated the team events as well, with both men’s and women’s squads earning three golds, two silvers, and one bronze collectively.

Among the juniors, Aida Azatyan became European champion and won a silver medal in the running target mixed event. Newcomer Lilit Mkrtchyan also impressed, capturing silver in the normal run category.
