Magnitude 5.5 earthquake hits Russia, felt in Armenia

A magnitude 5.5 earthquake struck near Makhachkala, Russia, late on Tuesday.

The quake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers and measured 7-8 on the MSK scale at the epicenter.

The Armenian Rescue Service reported that tremors were felt in several settlements of Armenia’s Tavush Province.
