Armenian defense minister meets with outgoing Iranian envoy

Armenian Defense Minister Suren Papikyan on Tuesday received Iranian Ambassador to Armenia Mehdi Sobhani on the occasion of the completion of his diplomatic mission in the country.

The minister highly appreciated the ambassador’s contribution to the strengthening Armenia-Iran relations and expressed gratitude for joint effective cooperation and significant achievements as a result, the Armenian Defense Ministry reported.

During the meeting, issues related to the bilateral agenda, as well as the latest developments in regional and international security were discussed.

In the conclusion of the meeting, Suren Papikyan awarded Sobhani with a departmental medal for effective cooperation.
