Activist claims renovation of Armenian Genocide Memorial unjustified

Civic activist Artur Chakhoyan has criticized the ongoing renovation of the Armenian Genocide Memorial, calling it “unjustified” and “another scheme for embezzlement”.

In a short video posted on his Facebook page on Thursday, Chakhoyan explained that during a conversation with the memorial’s director, he raised concerns about documented violations and the failure to complete construction works within the timeframe set by the contract.

According to Chakhoyan, the director acknowledged the validity of his arguments.
