Aren Mkrtchyan to be named new Lori governor

At a cabinet meeting on Thursday, former MP Aren Mkrtchyan from Armenia’s ruing Civil Contract party will be appointed new governor of Lori Province.

The appointment is based on Article 160 of Armenia’s constitution and Article 6 of the law on territorial administration.
