Council discusses renovation of Armenian Genocide Memorial slabs

The Scientific and Methodological Council under Armenia’s Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports on Friday discussed the ongoing restoration of slabs at the Armenian Genocide Memorial Complex.

According to the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute, the session was attended not only by council members but also by members of the Chamber of Architects, including architect Anahit Tarkhanyan, the daughter of the memorial’s co-author Artur Tarkhanyan, as well as contractors and technical supervisors.

Following a three-hour meeting, the council decided to:

1. Reconfirm the existing project and proceed with the renovation of three slabs;
2. Refine certain design details;
3. Reassess the restoration of the remaining slabs after completion of the first stage;
4. Ensure proper organization of the construction site.
