MP: Pashinyan accepted all of Azerbaijan's demands for campaign footage

Opposition MP Hayk Mamijanyan, head of the Pativ Unem faction, accused Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan of agreeing to all of Azerbaijan’s demands in order to secure a photo opportunity with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and U.S. President Donald Trump for use in his election campaign.

Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, Mamijanyan said it is already clear that transit regimes through Armenia and Azerbaijan will not be identical, dismissing the ruling team's claim that the opposition wants a return to the November 9 agreement.

He argued that while some provisions of the 2020 ceasefire remain crucial for Armenia and Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh), the government is wrong to blame the opposition. “Pashinyan signed that document and now again he signs another one without even reading it,” Mamijanyan said, criticizing the repeated “misinterpretations” surrounding international statements under Pashinyan.

“In reality, Pashinyan has agreed to give away everything demanded by Azerbaijan just to have that footage of the three leaders together, so he can use it in his election campaign,” Mamijanyan stated.
