Armenia to maintain customs control on 'Trump Route' in Syunik, SRC chief says

Armenia will maintain customs control on the “Trump Route” linking Azerbaijan to Nakhichevan through Armenia’s Syunik Province, State Revenue Committee (SRC) Chairman Eduard Hakobyan announced in the parliament on Friday.

"Customs service will operate there," he said, responding to a question from opposition MP Artsvik Minasyan.

The tax chief noted that the details are still under discussion.

“Regardless of that, our overall customs policy is comprehensive. We are carrying out reforms across all our borders,” Hakobyan added.
