Armenian, Azeri officials exchange handshake at U.S. event

Armenia’s newly appointed ambassador to the U.S., Narek Mkrtchyan, and Azerbaijani presidential aide Hikmet Hajiyev met on the sidelines of an event in the U.S. marking the fifth anniversary of the Abraham Accords.

On Saturday, Azerbaijani media outlets shared a photo showing the two officials exchanging a handshake during the gathering.
