The 75-year-old mother of fallen Artsakh hero Davit Arushanyan staged a solo protest at Yerevan’s Yerablur Military Pantheon on Friday, burning photographs of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan holding a book by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his wife Anna Hakobyan with the wives of Erdogan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
In a video posted on Facebook, Mrs. Lida said the protest was driven by frustration over political inaction and public indifference. She acknowledged that her actions might seem extreme but stated they were her way of showing resistance.
“I only ask God for one thing – to witness the downfall of these traitors and to see Artsakh free,” the woman said.
