Former ANIF head says Pashinyan 'attempting to turn us into scapegoats' for his failures
Davit Papazian, former executive director of the now dissolved Armenian National Interests Foundation (ANIF), has accused Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan of attempting to turn them into scapegoats for his and his government’s failures.
"Nikol Pashinyan is attempting to turn us into scapegoats for his and his government’s shameful mistakes and failures, which derailed some of the projects created by ANIF’s founding team," he said in a statement on Monday.
"True to form, he is once again on course for a fiasco," Papazian added.
ANIF was established in 2019 to attract substantial foreign investment into the country, support large-scale projects and develop vital infrastructure. However, it has left a trail of failed projects, bankrupt businesses and ongoing lawsuits. An estimated 25 billion drams have been wasted through the fund.
