Armenian mayor insists on Pashinyan's ouster

Masis Mayor David Hambardzumyan has called for the removal of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, describing it as a “vital necessity” for Armenia.

In a statement on Thursday, Hambardzumyan said recent developments in the country had reinforced the view that Pashinyan must leave office. “This is not merely a political agenda. It is a matter of survival and any delay carries the risk of irreversible consequences,” he said.

He argued that Armenia "has already suffered numerous losses” under Pashinyan’s leadership, warning that further concessions could prove “fatal” for the state.

The mayor urged people to gather outside the National Assembly on September 26, when parliamentary hearings on a possible vote of no confidence in Pashinyan are scheduled to be held.

"Let us stand together and support this crucial initiative, paving the way for Armenia’s future victories,” he added.
