Ex-ANIF head: Pashinyan has zero interest in Armenia's cyber defenses

David Papazian, former executive director of the now-defunct Armenian National Interests Fund (ANIF), has criticized the government in a new post about the fund’s activities.

“ANIF’s founding team partnered with Orbis Operations to forge a cadre of hungry, talented generation of young Armenians ready to defend our country’s economic lifelines against cyber attacks,” he wrote on Facebook on Thursday.

“By summer 2024, Yuri, Varduhi, Yasha, Anush, Meri, Gor, Sevak, Arman, Liana, and Narek had all quit - their skills wasted. The state-funded, high-performance tools are now rotting, abandoned. Why? Because Nikol Pashinyan has zero interest in Armenia having cyber defenses,” Papazian added.
