Activist announces rally outside Armenian parliament on Friday

A rally will be held outside the Armenian National Assembly on Tuesday afternoon, coinciding with parliamentary hearings on the impeachment of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, activist Edgar Ghazaryan announced.

Ghazaryan, a public and political figure and co-founder of the We Are Awake initiative, called on people to join the rally, stressing that the process of expressing no confidence in Pashinyan has entered a new phase.

“The rally is crucial as it will demonstrate people’s support for the impeachment effort. This is the only lawful and exclusive opportunity to remove Nikol Pashinyan from power. If we miss it, Armenia faces the fate of Artsakh and the entire Armenian nation risks genocide and displacement,” Ghazaryan said in a video message.

He urged the public to dedicate the day "to saving the country from the enemy’s grip".

The parliamentary hearings have been initiated by the opposition Pativ Unem faction.
