Armenian MPs propose January 27 as Day of Remembrance

Deputy Speaker of Armenia’s National Assembly Ruben Rubinyan and independent MP Gegham Nazaryan have introduced a draft bill to designate January 27 as the Day of Remembrance and Reverence.

Rubinyan said the day would honor all those killed in military operations, paying tribute to their sacrifice for the homeland.

Under the proposal, Army Day would continue to be celebrated on January 28, symbolizing the nation’s enduring strength and willpower.
