Armenia's ruling faction blocks opposition statement on 'national crisis'

The Armenian National Assembly’s Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs on Monday rejected an opposition-drafted statement "On the National Crisis and Governance Failure”.

The committee voted 3 in favor and 6 against, with the ruling Civil Contract faction MPs opposing the initiative.

Under the National Assembly Rules of Procedure, the draft statement will still be debated during the approval of the upcoming parliament session agenda.
