Five Armenian players have a perfect score at FIDE World Youth Chess Championships

Five Armenian chess players have a perfect score at the ongoing 2025 FIDE World Youth Chess Championships in Durres, Albania.

After 2 rounds, IM Robert Piliposyan (Open U18), FM Vahe Sukiasyan (Open U18), FM Manvel Arakelyan (Open U14), Ani Avetisyan (Girls U16) and Gabriela Harutyunyan (Girls U14) have scored 2 points apiece, the Armenian Chess Federation reported.

FM Vache Hovakimyan (Open U16), FM Tyhran Ambartsumian (Open U14) and Anahit Mkrtchyan (Girls U16) have 1.5 points.

The 3rd round starts on October 6 at 5 p.m. Armenian time.
