Armenian opposition leader vows full accountability in killing of former Parakar mayor
Mane Tandilyan, co-founder of the opposition Country to Live party, said on Tuesday that all those linked to the killing of former Parakar Mayor Valodya Grigoryan must be held accountable, not only the perpetrator.
“Identifying the person who committed the murder does not mean the crime itself has been fully solved. We will go all the way,” Tandilyan told reporters after an emergency meeting of the Parakar City Council.
Grigoryan, a member of the Unity alliance that includes the Country to Live party, was shot dead outside his home in late September.
Tandilyan said those who were aware of the crime and remained silent must also face consequences. “Everyone will be held responsible for this atrocity, whether today or tomorrow – time does not matter,” she said.
