Shooting in Armenian town leaves three injured

Three men were injured and hospitalized after a violent altercation and shooting in Abovyan, a town in Armenia’s Kotayk Province, early on Saturday, police said.

Gunfire erupted at around 1 a.m. following a brawl among several men. A 29-year-old suffered gunshot wounds, while two others, aged 34 and 39, were treated for stab injuries. All the victims are in critical condition, Shamshyan.com reported.

Investigators recovered shell casings, a knife and a handgun at the scene. A criminal probe has been launched into the incident.
