Yerevan's air quality index at moderate level, mayor says

The air quality index in Yerevan stood at 85.9 for PM2.5 as of 2 p.m. local time, placing it in the “moderate” category, Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan said in a social media post on Saturday.

Avinyan said the data were based on readings from air quality monitoring devices installed at construction sites across the Armenian capital.

He noted that while air quality at this level is generally considered acceptable, it may pose risks for people with health conditions.
