Georgia’s Interior Ministry has deported 26 foreign citizens as part of recent measures against illegal migration, 1tv.ge reported on Tuesday, citing the ministry.

According to the statement, those expelled include nationals of India, Turkey, China, Pakistan, Turkmenistan, Iraq, Egypt, Azerbaijan, Jordan and Chad. The individuals have also been banned from re-entering the country under Georgian law.

The ministry’s Migration Department, responsible for combating illegal migration, identified and removed the foreigners found to be residing in Georgia without legal status.
