Bus involved in major traffic crash in Yerevan

A major traffic accident occurred in Yerevan on Friday involving a Zhongtong bus operating on route 97, Shamshyan.com reported.

At around 11 a.m. the bus collided with a legally parked Mercedes Sprinter on Rubinyants Street. The impact caused a chain reaction, damaging several other parked vehicles, including a Mazda, Honda Accord and Toyota.

Rescue crews from Armenia’s Interior Ministry quickly arrived on the scene, with firefighters remaining on standby. No injuries were reported among the bus passengers. Police are investigating the circumstances and identifying the vehicle owners.
