Ballot positions revealed for Vagharshapat elections

Armenia's Central Electoral Commission (CEC) assigned ballot positions to the parties and alliances running in the Vagharshapat municipal elections through a draw held at a special CEC session on Saturday.

The following parties and alliances received their respective numbers:

• Victory Alliance (comprising Forward and the Armenian Revolutionary Federation parties)
• Pan-Armenian Front Party
• Republic Party
• Mother Armenia National-Democratic Party
• Free Democrats Party
• Heritage Party
• Civil Contract party
• Homeland Party

The elections in Vagharshapat, an enlarged community in Armenia’s Armavir Province, are scheduled for November 16.

Out of 11 political forces that initially applied for registration, nine submitted nomination documents to the Territorial Electoral Commission No. 14. The commission accepted the withdrawal of the National Progress Party prior to registration.
