Putin, Aliyev discuss bilateral ties in phone call

Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday held a telephone conversation with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, the Kremlin reported.

The two leaders discussed a range of issues on the bilateral agenda, following up on their meeting at the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) summit in Dushanbe on October 9.

Putin and Aliyev reaffirmed their mutual commitment to further developing trade and economic cooperation and implementing joint projects in the energy and transport-logistics sectors.

The conversation also touched on aspects of regional cooperation and the international situation. The two sides agreed to maintain contact at various levels, the Kremlin said.
