Tigran Barseghyan banned for three matches after red card

Armenia midfielder Tigran Barseghyan has been handed a three-match suspension following his red card in the World Cup qualifier against Ireland, the Football Federation of Armenia has confirmed.

UEFA notified the Armenian federation of the decision after Barseghyan was sent off in the 52nd minute for headbutting an opponent during an on-field dispute.

The ban means Barseghyan will miss Armenia’s remaining World Cup qualifiers against Hungary and Portugal, as well as another official match.
