Armenia's interior minister reports 10.7% rise in road accidents

The number of road traffic accidents in Armenia increased by 10.7% in the first nine months of this year compared with the same period in 2024, Interior Minister Arpine Sargsyan said at preliminary debates on the 2026 state budget bill on Monday.

Meanwhile, the minister noted that the number of fatalities had fallen by 43 year on year.

“The increase in road traffic accidents remains a matter of concern. We have a clear strategy to address the issue,” Sargsyan said.
