European Championships: Five Armenian weightlifters compete today

On the penultimate day of the European Junior and U23 Weightlifting Championships in Durres, Albania, five Armenian athletes will be in action.

At 2 p.m. Yerevan time on Monday, Emma Poghosyan competes in the women’s 86kg junior category, followed at 4 p.m. by Alina Sukiasyan in the 86kg class.

In the men’s 110kg division, Misha Melkonyan will take the stage at 6 p.m. Among the U23 competitors, Liana Gyurjyan will represent Armenia in the women’s 86kg category at 8 p.m., before Vardges Margaryan closes out the Armenian contingent in the junior super-heavyweight class at 10 p.m.
