Serzh Sargsyan summoned to Anti-Corruption Committee

Former Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan was summoned to Armenia’s Anti-Corruption Committee late last night, his attorney Amram Makinyan reported.

In a statement on social media, Makinyan criticized law enforcement authorities, calling the move politically motivated and saying it followed a Yerevan court’s refusal to impose a travel ban on Sargsyan.

He claimed investigators revived testimonies from deceased individuals dating back two decades, adding they had already been withdrawn in 2019 due to translation errors.

“Everything is absolutely clear. Well, see you in court,” the lawyer added.
