LIVE: Firefighters work to contain blaze at Yerevan shopping center

A major fire has broken out at a food outlet in one of the shopping centers on Yerevan’s Komitas Avenue.

Fourteen firefighting crews are currently involved in efforts to extinguish the blaze. Emergency management teams have also been dispatched to the scene.

The operation at the site is being directed by Major-General Kamo Tsutsulyan, Head of the Rescue Service and Deputy Interior Minister.
