Former Armenian economy minister arrested

Former Armenian Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan has been arrested, his brother Avetik Kerobyan told RFE/RL’s Armenian Service on Friday. He revealed that law-enforcement officers also searched the former minister’s home.

Avetik Kerobyan stated the search was unrelated to his brother’s tenure as minister and that the family is now trying to determine the reason behind the law-enforcement actions.
