Nearly 70,000 people eligible to vote at Vagharshapat elections

Final voter lists for the upcoming municipal elections in Vagharshapat (Echmiadzin), scheduled for November 16, show that 69,866 people are eligible to vote, according to Armenia’s Migration and Citizenship Service.

The figure represents a slight decrease from 70,022 voters registered as of October 3.

Under Armenian law, not only citizens but also certain non-citizens with legal residence status can participate in local elections, provided they are over 18 and meet residency requirements.

Eight political forces are running in the elections for the Vagharshapat City Council. The vote will be monitored by 31 media outlets and six observer organizations, two of which are joint missions.
