Observer group reports open voting, campaign violations in Vagharshapat

The HayaKve observer mission reported an incident of open voting at precinct 14/47 in the town of Vagharshapat during Sunday’s municipal elections.

The group said it also documented another violation near precinct 14/11, where campaign posters were found displayed within 50 meters of the polling station in violation of Armenia’s electoral rules.

Vagharshapat, an enlarged community, is holding elections to the City Council, with eight parties and blocs competing. 69,866 people are eligible to vote in the elections.
