Vagharshapat elections: Voter turnout stands at 7.56%

Voter turnout in the Vagharshapat municipal elections stood at 7.56% at 11 a.m. local time on Sunday, Armenia's Central Electoral Commission reported. A total of 5,283 voters cast ballots out of 69,866 registered voters, according to data from the Interior Ministry's Migration and Citizenship Service.

Participation is noticeably higher than in the 2021 local elections, when turnout at the same hour stood at 3.1%.

The vote is being held under a proportional system at 47 polling stations, with eight political forces competing.
