Homeland Party candidate thanks supporters after Vagharshapat vote

Homeland Party candidate Khachik Manukyan has thanked his supporters after receiving 1,193 votes in Sunday’s municipal elections in Vagharshapat.

The poet and opposition candidate said the result showed that “more than a thousand like-minded people” had backed his campaign. “At the beginning of the campaign, I announced that even if one person believed in us, our struggle would not be in vain,” he said in a statement, adding that the support he received “obliges” him to continue advocating for what he called values that "keep Armenians Armenian".

Manukyan also thanked those who doubted him, saying their skepticism pushed him to reassess his political approach. He pledged to “stand more firmly” by residents and to show “more love and dedication” in future.
