Catholicos Aram I to attend celebratory event in Nicaea

In observance of the 1700th anniversary of the First Ecumenical Council of Nicaea, a series of events is being held worldwide. On this occasion, His Holiness Catholicos Aram I delivered a series of lectures in both Egypt and Canada, addressing diverse audiences in interchurch forums and at leading academic institutions, the Holy See of Cilicia reported.

A major celebratory event is scheduled for Thursday, November 27, in Nicaea, which will be attended by His Holiness Pope Leo XIV and His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew I. Catholicos Aram I has also been invited to participate.

Representing the Catholicosate of Cilicia at this event, as well as other anniversary celebrations, will be His Eminence Archbishop Gomidas Ohanian, Pontifical Vicar of Cyprus. Archbishop Ohanian will serve as the official representative of His Holiness.
