Two contract soldiers injured in landmine explosion in Vardenis

Two contract soldiers sustained injuries after a landmine explosion in Vardenis, the Armenian Ministry of Defense has confirmed.

The ministry told Panorama that the incident occurred while the soldiers were not performing their official duties. It emphasized that the injuries were not service-related and life-threatening.

An investigation into the circumstances of the incident is underway.
