Former Armenian MP hospitalized after attack

Public figure and former MP Mihran Hakobyan has been hospitalized after a masked men attacked him in a parking lot at the Dalma Mall, according to lawyer Ruben Melikyan.

In a social media post on Monday, Melikyan said the assailants struck him from behind without warning. Hakobyan suffered physical injuries and was taken to the Izmirlian Medical Center for treatment.

“This attack would not have happened if the authorities had solved a 2021 grenade‑throwing incident outside Mihran’s home,” he wrote.
