Armenia's Malkhas Amoyan among contenders for 2025 best wrestler

The United World Wrestling (UWW) has announced the shortlist of contenders for the 2025 Greco-Roman Wrestler of the Year. 

The nominees include Malkhas Amoyan (77 kg), a Paris Olympics bronze medalist, two-time world champion and four-time European champion.

Iranian wrestlers Mohammadhadi Saravi, Saeed Esmaili, Gholamreza Farokhi and Uzbek wrestler Aytjan Khalmakhanov are also among the contenders.

“This one is nearly impossible with the seasons each of them had, but we want to hear what you all are thinking. Drop your thoughts on who you think was the most dominant GR wrestler this season,” UWW said in a social media post.
