Artsakh officials mark independence referendum anniversary at Yerablur

Senior Artsakh officials visited the Yerablur Military Pantheon in Yerevan on Wednesday to mark the anniversary of the 1991 independence referendum and the adoption of Artsakh’s constitution.

Artsakh President Samvel Shahramanyan, National Assembly Speaker Ashot Danielyan, MPs and public figures laid flowers at the Call of Artsakh memorial complex to pay tribute to fallen soldiers.

On 10 December 1991, the population of the then–Nagorno-Karabakh Republic held a referendum in which an overwhelming majority voted in favor of establishing an independent state.
