Arsen Torosyan denies rumors of retirement age change in Armenia

Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Arsen Torosyan, a member of the ruling Civil Contract party, has dismissed claims that the Armenian government plans to raise the retirement age as a “blatant lie”.

The rumors began circulating following comments made by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan regarding pensioners.

“I want to make it clear that there are no plans to increase the retirement age. This is a blatant lie. There are other false reports as well, which I will address in the near future,” Torosyan said on Monday.

He added that such misinformation "is being deliberately spread as part of hybrid attacks".
