Armenia’s Rescue Service says that the country’s roads remain largely passable despite severe weather conditions in some mountainous areas on Monday morning.
Snowstorms have been reported at the Vardenyats Pass.
The road through the Korea Gorge has been temporarily closed to traffic since 19 August due to renovation. Officials cited the risk of rockfalls as the reason for the closure.
Drivers are strongly urged to use winter tires.
According to the Russian and Georgian authorities, the Stepantsminda-Larsi highway connecting Armenia and Russia via Georgia is open to all traffic.
