In pictures: Crowds gather outside Mother See amid heavy police presence

The courtyard of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin is currently overcrowded.

Numerous citizens, including political and public figures, have gathered there to show support for Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II ahead of a protest announced by ten bishops aligned with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

At the same time, a large number of police forces have been deployed to the area.
