NATO chief says several European countries ready to send troops to Ukraine

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte has confirmed that several European countries are prepared to deploy troops to Ukraine as part of post-war security guarantees, should a peace agreement be reached and later violated by Russia.

Speaking to Bild, Rutte said discussions are underway on how a “Coalition of the Willing” could operate across land, sea, and air, though specific details remain confidential. The United Kingdom has already reaffirmed its readiness to contribute forces after the war, while Portugal has signaled it may also participate in a future peacekeeping mission.
