'Trump Route' construction to begin in 2026, Armenian MFA says

Armenia’s Foreign Ministry says the construction of the “Trump Route” infrastructure project is set to begin in 2026.

In a written response to Sputnik Armenia, the ministry said the project’s implementation phase would start next year, following ongoing negotiations with US partners over its legal and regulatory framework.

The project, formally titled Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP), will be carried out by TRIPP Company, a joint Armenian-American venture to be registered in Armenia. The company will have rights to develop railways, roads, oil and gas pipelines, as well as fiber-optic cable infrastructure, the ministry said.

Yerevan considers the initiative part of the Armenian government’s “Crossroads of Peace” project aimed at boosting regional connectivity. Officials say the project is compatible with wider regional transport and trade initiatives, including the Middle Corridor and the Persian Gulf–Black Sea route.
