Archbishop Mikayel Ajapahyan thanks supporters on his birthday amid imprisonment and surgery

Archbishop Mikayel Ajapahyan has expressed his heartfelt gratitude to all those who sent him birthday greetings, saying they helped ease the pain of his recent imprisonment and surgery.

“Many, many thanks and God’s abundant blessings to all my dear ones who congratulated me on my humble birthday, especially during these difficult days of incarceration and post-surgical pain,” the

archbishop said in a statement.

He went on to extend special thanks to his fellow clergy for their prayers and well-wishes, and offered deep respect to those who gathered outside the hospital to provide comfort during his recovery.

“May God bless you all, our people, our homeland, and our Holy Church,” he added.
