All visitors entering Georgia will be required to have valid health and accident insurance starting from 1 January 2026, the Georgian Foreign Ministry reports.
Travelers must present proof of insurance, either in physical or electronic form, in Georgian or English. Policies can be issued by Georgian or international insurers and must cover a minimum of 30,000 lari.
Insurance must include details of the parties, coverage area, insured risks, policy period and payment terms. Coverage must remain valid from entry into Georgia until departure, encompassing the entire stay.
